PROJECT DESCRIPTION
MnDOT required preparation of a layout and final plans, special provisions and associated tasks for ADA improvements along TH 19 and 71, the conversion of TH 19 into a Two-Way Left Turn Lane and comprehensive analysis and design of drainage infrastructure to alleviate recurrent flooding in the area. The project involved a mill and overlay from Patten Street to Quality Drive along Hwy 19 with a right turn lane expansion.
RANI SOLUTION
Rani coordinated with MnDOT, the prime consultant, the City of Redwood Falls, Redwood County and utility companies. The design team developed plans, special provisions and cost estimates using MnDOT, AASHTO and FHWA standards.

- Preparing a Level 2 layout for the Two-Way Left Turn Lane conversion
- Utility coordination.
- Assessing and replacing storm sewer as needed for ADA improvements.
- Assessing and replacing culverts and regrading ditches.
- Design of in-line stormwater storage to alleviate flooding.
- Erosion Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
- Traffic control plans.
- Signing & pavement marking plans.
- Quality control.
