Dr. Kim has joined Rani Engineering as our Systems Engineering Group Leader.
Dr. Kim has a background as an automation/systems/mechanical engineer, with more than 30 years of experience.
Joey Lundquist has joined Rani Engineering in the role of Senior Project Manager. Joey comes to Rani with 19 years of experience, most recently as a MnDOT Metro District project manager/design engineer.
Joey has a dynamic background in project management for many complex projects in Minnesota. Notable projects for her include the $130 million I-35E Corridor reconstruction at Cayuga and Maryland; CSAH 96 over I-35E Bridge Re-deck; I-394 Resurfacing; St. Croix Bridge Mitigation; and the Lafayette Bridge. Joey is a resourceful manager, with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to articulate one-on-one or with a large group. Her problem solving skills are invaluable, as well as her talent for leading teams and prioritizing deadlines.

Joey was the recipient of the 2016 Environmental Excellence Award from the MN Erosion Control Association. The award is based on dedication to improving water quality.
Joey is an active volunteer, spending time cooking at HealthEast Hospice and teaching children in the ins and outs of basic money skills at Junior Achievement USA.
Rani’s president and founder received a noteworthy Minnesota distinction awarded by the editors of Twin Cities Business. Recipients are recognized for facing challenges in Minnesota’s ever-changing economic climate. Susan is listed in the elite leaders category. Leaders are recognized for “accomplished stewardship over a significant tenure”.
Susan is standing with TCB’s Person of the Year, Omar Ishrak, Chairman and CEO of Medtronic.
Well-known Minnesota small business leader, Susan Rani, President and Founder of Rani Engineering, has signed a document formalizing a partnership with a key entity in South Korea. The new memorandum will create a deeper understanding of overseas business and lead to new business development possibilities.
The event was supported by South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye, who spoke of the need to make research and development investments and support high tech and emerging disruptive technologies. President Park holds a degree in electrical engineering.

Rani Engineering and President Susan Park Rani were honored in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) on May 29th, 2014. Mr. Ellison congratulated Ms. Rani on being named one of eleven “Champions of Change” by the White House for ensuring that transportation facilities, services, and jobs help connect individuals and their communities to greater opportunities. He also stated that Ms. Rani is an inspiration for women, minorities, immigrants and anyone who aspires to start their own business, and he commended Ms. Rani on her award and her thoughtful contributions as both an entrepreneur and as an excellent member of the community. Susan Park Rani was recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal at the 2014 Women in Business award ceremony. Park Rani was one of 51 women honored as the Twin Cities’ most influential women in business.
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal has been recognizing “Women in Business” as industry leaders, “Women to Watch”, and inspiring entrepreneurs for 17 years. The Business Journal recognized Susan Park Rani and Rani Engineering for the projects overseen in the Metro area including: the Blue Line (Hiawatha) and Green Line (Central Corridor) light rails, the I-35W Bridge reconstruction and the Weisman Art Museum.
