PROJECT DETAILS
Owner: Minnesota Deparment of Transportation (MnDOT)
Location: Itasca County, MN
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
MnDOT requested preparation of final plans, special provisions, and associated tasks for ADA improvements along TH 65. A scope change added plans for the full resurfacing project. The project was comprised of 1 mile of mill and overlay on TH 65, ADA improvements, and storm sewer relocation. New ADA ramps and sidewalks and storm sewer design was coordinated with the City of Nashwauk water main replacement (which was incorporated into the construction plans). Other improvements include adding an island on the north side of the project to separate the road from the Public Works parking lot and extending the sidewalk on the south end of the project to tie into a regional trail.
