CRAIG JOHNSON, PE | director of operations LinkedIn_icon

Craig has been with Rani Engineering since 1998 and has extensive experience in transportation, water resources, and municipal engineering. He is accustomed to managing teams, designing infrastructure, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders at the federal, state, and local level. Craig is also familiar with both design-build and design-bid-build contracting methods. He fulfills roles such as project manager, group leader, construction observation, design oversight, and technical designer.

Craig has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota. Craig is an active member of ACEC/MN, Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society (MSES), and past president and current member of the Engineers’ Society of Saint Paul (ESSP).


Andrew Wells, PE | group leader, civil engineering LinkedIn_icon

Andy oversees Rani’s civil engineering group and has 12 years of experience in water resources, site development, and transportation engineering. He has worked on projects in MN, WI, ND, and IL. He has extensive experience with river and stream modeling for both floodplain determination and bridge and culvert analysis. He has worked on numerous design projects, providing a full range of civil engineering including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and erosion control/SWPPP.

Andy has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Minnesota, North Dakota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Andy is an emerging leader within ACEC/MN and an active member of the Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society (MSES).

Steph Robert, PLS | group leader, land surveying LinkedIn_icon

Steph oversees Rani’s land surveying group and has 21 years of experience, with substantial experience in the areas of residential and commercial developments. Steph has expertise with boundary surveys, topographical surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, construction surveying, as-built surveys, plats, CIC plats, easement and property descriptions, and right of way. Steph has worked with both private and public sector organizations to plan, prepare, coordinate, and execute various types of surveys. His work is supported by an experienced survey crew comprised of licensed land surveyors and office technicians.

Steph has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a registered Professional Land Surveyor.
