SUSAN PARK RANI, PE | president LinkedIn_icon

As founder and president of Rani Engineering, Susan Park Rani has overseen the growth of the company from two employees in 1993 to more than 50 employees today.  She is a widely recognized business and community leader having served on the American Council of Engineering Companies–Minnesota (ACEC/MN) Board of Directors, the Minnesota Compensation Council (a gubernatorial appointment) and the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She was appointed to the Destination Medical Center Board by Gov. Mark Dayton. The board is responsible for guiding the use of the state’s $455 million investment in the Greater Rochester area. Most recently Susan was named to the Host Committee for the Super Bowl in 2018 and the University of Minnesota Foundation Board of Trustees.

Susan received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.

Craig Johnson has been with Rani Engineering since 1998 and has experience in transportation, water resources, and municipal engineering. He leads the civil engineering, land surveying and rail signal groups on projects throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. Craig’s experience includes managing teams, design of infrastructure, and coordinating with and for clients and stakeholders at the Federal, State, and Local levels.

Craig received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota. Craig is an active member of ACEC/MN, Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society (MSES), and past president and current member of the Engineers’ Society of Saint Paul (ESSP).

Andrew Wells, PE | group leader, civil engineering LinkedIn_icon

Andrew Wells has been with Rani Engineering since 2011 and has 11 years of experience in water resources, site development, and transportation engineering. He has worked on projects in MN, WI, ND, and IL. He has extensive experience with river and stream modeling for both floodplain determination and bridge and culvert analysis. He has worked on numerous design projects, providing a full range of civil engineering including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and erosion control/SWPPP.

Andy received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. Andy is an emerging leader within ACEC/MN and an active member of the Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society (MSES).

Stephane (Steph) Robert is Principal Land Surveyor and Group Leader for Rani Engineering’s Survey Department. Steph has 19 years of experience in the area of Land Surveying. He has worked with both private and public sector organizations and has substantial experience with boundary surveys, topographical surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, construction surveying, as-built surveys, plats, CIC plats, easement and property descriptions and dealing with right of ways. Steph is well known for working closely with the design team to develop detailed scopes of work to ensure that survey efforts are completed on time, in as few trips as possible, and that they meet the needs of the project.

Steph received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a registered Professional Land Surveyor.
